We meet every second Thursday of the month September through May.
Meetings start at 9.45am with refreshments, and there is a special
program concerning gardening or flower arranging for each month.

Doug and Mary graciously allowed us to descend upon their house again. The party was on Friday night, April 14, and this year we had no gnats because of the cool and rainy weather. We had low country boil that was catered by Russo's, and there was grilled chicken for the non-seafood eaters and others, too.

Island Areas: County Collection Day of Yard Waste to be Recycled:Weekly on Thursday (No Plastic Bags).
Collection of Bulky Items: Fourth Friday of each month.
Free recycled mulch available at Wilmington Island Drop-Off Center,
Concord Road, Mon-Sat. 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Sun. Noon - 5:30 p.m.
Whoever makes a garden, has never worked alone;
The rain has always found it, the sun has always known.
The wind has blown across it, and helped to scatter seeds.
Whoever makes a garden, has, oh, so many friends;
The glory of the morning, the dew when daylight ends,
The wind, and rain, and sunshine And dew , and fertile sod,
And he who makes a garden, works hand in hand with God.
The garden party in April ends the main activities of the club for the summer
months. This year the party had to be held inside because of rainy and cool weather.
However, the sand gnats didn't bother us at all!
